Scientists at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) have compiled super-cool video from images taken by the High Resolution Stereo Camera on board European Space Agency’s MarsExpress spacecraft. The DLR scientists, who specialize in making highly accurate topological maps of the Mars surface, follow the same path as the sci-fi movie “The Martian” starring Matt Damon as an astronaut who is stranded on Mars and has to use his scientific background and his wits to survive.
